Your emotions aren't hardwired, even though you may feel like they are. They don't just trigger and happen to you, even though it seems like they do. In fact, you can control your emotions better than you think.

Emotions are our brain's guesses in the moment based on your past experiences. It's the same for emotions we experience and emotions we "perceive" in others.
